We was founded by Iver Personal Trainer, Michael Gray, back on March 7th 2011.
He realised he had an opportunity to create a welcoming space and community of like minded people who hated the gym, yet wanted to lose weight and some how enjoy working out...
A home away from home.
When you walk into The Fit Body Formula, you’ll instantly realise that it’s more than just a fitness class. Before the session begins you'll see people smiling, laughing and chatting amongst each other. You'll have them welcoming you in.
You'll see some of the closest friendships, which were formed by chance at a session here once upon a time. You'll see people celebrating each other’s victories, and you'll see it as a place to be free, have fun and have YOUR time instead of a dreaded boring workout.
Our group fitness workouts began with one simple question: How could we make the powerful results of 1-on-1 personal training available to more people, whilst making it far more enjoyable and addictive?
The answer: Provide the benefits of 1-on-1 training by keeping the same high quality, PLUS adding additional accountability when your not just in your workout, while splitting the cost among 10-30 people per session. Use "Active Rest Training" alongside our "Afterburn" workouts to develop sessions that get results in half the time of a traditional hour workout. Meaning it's easier to fit into your routine so you can stick to it. To add to the excitement and enjoyment, we never EVER repeat our workouts and we keep each daily workout top secret.

"I had gained a lot of weight and I remember feeling really rubbish about myself - not just about my weight but rubbish generally. I had very low self esteem and no energy. After a long day at work I'd eat a quick comfort meal and then go to bed very early. I didn't want to speak to anyone and I definitely did not want to leave the house unless I had to!
I knew I had to make changes, my family were starting to worry about me and I knew that I wasn't happy. I filled out the Facebook form and Marcus called me. At first I declined joining - I was terrified of exercising infront of other people, I felt fat and ugly and I was sure I'd embarrass myself. Instead I told my self I'd actually go to the gym I'd been paying for for the past two years.... I didn't go. The following month, I rang Marcus back and signed up.
Thank goodness I did! The classes were incredibly fun and there were people there of all ages and all fitness levels - if they could do it, I sure as hell could. Michael was so lovely and supportive, actually all the trainers were! I’d go home buzzing full of endorphins after a session. We had meal plans too, and I managed to remember that I love to cook! All of a sudden my life had structure again. By week 3, I was feeling great and people were starting to notice! By week 5, I was told by someone close to me that it was like I was a different person. It was true, I can't remember the last time I was this happy, yes I'd lost weight, yes I was more confident, but it wasnt just that... it was everything!
